This 10th recording from our family marked our 25th year of music ministry. Having gone through many hard trials just prior to this recording, the over all theme is our renewed faith in God stemming from His unending faithfulness to us. Beginning with the old Hymn "God Leads Us Along" and ending with "I Have Fought the Good Fight", this album features many favorites in between including "Jehovah's Here to Lead Us" and "All That Really Counts". On Jehovah Sharon sings the chorus in Hebrew (thanks to our dear friend Bro. Arnie Hoffman's interpreting skills and an over the phone pronunciation seminar at midnight the night before we recorded). Great for the entire family, this project also features mom and dad on Doris Akers "I Cannot Fail The Lord", and Sheri (at age 12) on, "Lookin' More Like Your Father"

OUR TIME
All of the music for this project was recorded in Isaac's upstairs tiny dormer style bedroom on his new Korg 01W keyboard, with Henry's guitar amp and a set of beat up head phones. It took him about 3 months to get it all done, then he saved all the songs on floppy discs, and then took it to Audio Matrix Studio in down town Toledo and dumped each track individually onto the reals. The keyboard had 16 tracks and the family and engineers at Audio Matrix were amazed at the creativity and sound produced by this budding young producer/engineer/musician in his early 20s. On Read it and Weep he actually managed to use all 16 tracks to produce an incredible orchestrated piece. Still in love with his Korg 01W, he still uses it in his recording studio today, only he has a much bigger and beefier sound system and better quality head phones. This project is special to Amanda and Ike, because while Ike was recording this project, Amanda often visited her best friend Sheri (right across the hall), and it was during this time that she recognized his incredible talent and started falling in love with the man she would eventually marry. This project is also special to the entire family because it features a new member of the LaFontaine Family for the first time, Rebekah, who had just married Paul. Come and Grow in Christ is an amazing wedding song that Paul wrote and the couple sang for their special day. The child at the beginning of "Our Time" is Wesley (age 3).
